Good Morning! Be ready for a day of tours!

Please make sure you are assigned to a GROUP (1 - 4) and stay with your group, always!

Attire for the day time activities:
Men: Wear khakis or similar pants with shirts. Polo-style shirts and pullover sweaters are appropriate.  Loafers or comfortable shoes.
Women:  slacks, combined with blouses or tops. Flat comfortable shoes.
Note about the dress code for Group 4– make sure shoes have good traction.

Group # 1 and Group #2  Load buses and travel to Shaw Industries

07:30 AM

Group #1 and Group #2 begin buffet breakfast

07:45 AM - 08:00 AM

Group #3 and Group #4 Load buses and travel to Shaw Industries

Group #3 and Group #4 begin buffet breakfast

Group #1 and Group #2 load buses for departure for the Shaw R&D complex (if weather allows, they can walk, since it is only about 400 yards). 

08:30 AM

Group #1 and Group #2 arrive at Shaw R&D complex and are broken down into three groups for the tour that will include three areas of concentration:  museum/industry history, color/design presentation, tour of pilot plant.  Each group will start in one of these three areas and then each group will rotate to another area every 20 minutes.

09:15 AM

Group #3 and Group #4 load buses for departure for the Shaw R&D complex (if weather allows, they can walk, since it is only about 400 yards)

09:30 AM

* Please no tank or tube tops, t-shirts, flip-flops, tennis shoes or shorts.

The Leadership Georgia Honorary Membership is presented in honor of a person who is not a Leadership Georgia Alumni, yet has demonstrated enthusiastic and active support of Leadership Georgia on a continuing and consistent basis. This individual must be over 50 years old to receive. The Leadership Georgia Honorary Degree is not necessarily an annual award and is to be voted on by the board of trustees
