Dale Threadgill provides leadership for all University of Georgia engineering teaching, research, and outreach programs statewide. His research interests include irrigation systems and management: soil and water conservation; soil-plant-water relations; chemical application systems including chemigation; crop production systems; and soil tillage systems. He is better known in the engineering area for leading the University of Georgia's biofuel initiative. In addition, he is well known to most Leadership Georgia graduates for his role as advisor to the Board of Trustees. He previously served the organization as program chair, trustee and vice-president. A Leadership Georgia Class of 1981 graduate, Dr. Threadgill has dedicated years to this organization and continues to be a great supporter of Dr. Fanning's legacy.
A native of Alabama, Dr. Threadgill completed his bachelor's and doctorate degrees at Auburn University. He lives in Athens with his wife Anne.
