RICHARD A. SLABY

Leadership Georgia Trustee

Rich and Soule W. Slaby (LG '06) live in Augusta, Georgia. A couple dedicated to their family (they have two sons ages 8 and 2), community and the arts, their participation in Leadership Georgia will definitively leave a mark. Engaging, fun and hard working, Rich and Soule share their Leadership Georgia experience with the Class of 2008 on Saturday morning. Rich will come to the "rescue"!

Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Rich received his B.A. in Finance from Augusta State University and an Associates degree in Horticulture from Augusta Technical Institute.

Currently Rich is the Manager for Legal Solutions with Compuware Corporation, Focusing on the management of global computer enterprises. He covers the Mid-Atlantic States as well as the Southeast. Compuware is based in Detroit, Michigan with 8000 Global employees serving 23 countries. Rich has received the honor of being one of twelve managers out of sixty that received the Presidents Club award for his responsibilities focused on revenue generation and account management.

Rich has worked in telecommunication with AT&T and Kamine Multimedia Corporation for a total of six years. He also worked with Aspen Publishing Corporation distributing legal research software to law firms across the state of Georgia. In addition he also spent three years as the Director of Development for the National Science Center raising money locally and nationwide for all national and local programs sponsored by the organization.

Activities:
Rich spends time with his family first and foremost. Rich plays golf every chance he gets and enjoys fishing and hunting when he gets the opportunity.
