William F. Jourdain welcomes the LG Class of 2008 at Carpets of Dalton. Bill was born in Miami, Florida on May 7, 1961 and was admitted to the practice of law in Georgia in 1986. He received his B.A. from Furman University in 1983 and his J.D. from Mercer University in 1986. Bill Jourdain moved to Dalton in 1986 and joined the firm of Mitchell, Coppedge, Wester, Bisson & Miller, where he became a partner in 1989. He joined Minor, Bell & Neal in 1993.
Mr. Jourdain is very active in the Dalton and Whitfield County communities. He was a member of the Leadership Dalton-Whitfield Class of 1991 and a graduate, along with his wife Lori, of the Leadership Georgia Class of 1999. He was named the Dalton Jaycees Young Person of the Year in 1993. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce, the Dalton Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Voluntary Action Center of Northwest Georgia. He is a past Chairman of the Red Cross and Voluntary Action Center. Mr. Jourdain is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission as an Amateur Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator and has served as District Emergency Coordinator for the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, Volunteer Counsel for the American Radio Relay League and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Dalton Amateur Radio Club. Mr. Jourdain has served on the Legislative Action Committee of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce for over ten years. Mr. Jourdain currently serves as a member and past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Looper Speech and Hearing Center, and is a past President and Chairman Board of Leadership Dalton-Whitfield. Mr. Jourdain also serves on the Executive Board of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce, where he is the Chairman for the 2008 program year.
